JCI FINLAND NATIONAL PROJECTS
JCI FINLAND NATIONAL PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS
1. AWARDS
The one of the most important task of NOM Awards Manager is to be an organiser and to push all chambers to make award applications. This makes possible to publish succeeded chamber members and projects. The information like deadlines, categories and other relevant information about award, both national and international are shared to all local chamber presidents.
The biggest challenge for this year is the changing the applications from the traditional form to the electronic form. This means that applications are in an electronic form and are not printed out at any phase.
All area awards managers are gathered together for training. Training is about the new applications, award categories and all needed information to allow area awards managers be able to share information to individual chamber member of their own area.
Making sure that chambers and individual members get their well-deserved glory is an important task. This will be made true by organising a glorious national award gala.
All material, instructions and new ideas of electronic awards form will be gathered for next years Awards Manager. This makes sure that everything is working and easy to use in future.
Goals for this year is to:
Get glory to the best projects and persons.
Get new e-award system working and easy to use.
Get couple of awards in EC-conference to Finland.
2. LEARNING INSTITUTE OF FINLAND – COACHING EVENTS FOR FINNISH JC´S
Learning Institute is founded 1994 to coordinate national coaching and training events. With LI-manager there is a board which is called Learning Institute Board (LI-board). LI-board consists of 10 regional coordinators. Via RC´s the knowledge of international and national trainings is delivered to 89 local Individual Vice Presidents. They inform together 3000 JC´s of the possibilities of LI. This organisation gives LI-manager an effective way to effect all members of JCI Finland.
Learning Institute organises trainings for leadership and coaching. Trainings for leaderships are Future Chapter, Pres-Lio, LOM-training. LI connects members with Nordic Academy and European Academy. Coaching trainings may be the Train and the Prime. Learning Institute makes also marketing of coaching trainings abroad, like JCI Prime and JCI Excel. Also the National speech and debate contests are arranged by LI. As an informer of coaching LI also gives tips for making events, where coaches are needed. This is made by using a Coach Register, which is published in the website of Learning Institute.
The goal of LI is to make Finnish JC´s better coaches and leaders. By giving opportunities to learn, train, and practise coaching and leading LI reaches the goal. Through improving the skills of members we can make surrounding communities improve as well. One important goal is also to make internationalising happen among Finnish coaches. This makes JCI Finland to be a wanted organisation for under 40-year old, active leaders, coaches and developers in Finland.
National Project Leader of Learning, The LI-manager keeps in touch with the National Board of JCI Finland. Also he guides and coaches Regional Coordinators to achieve goals in their own areas. LI-manager collects coaches for National events aswell is responsible of giving room for those educational happenings. This is usually made together with the local chapter, which can be wherever in Finland. At the beginning of the season LI-manager makes budget and strategy, in the middle makes things happen and at last after a year tells, what LI has done. (And thinks, how it should have been done in 2026)
Enjoy the adventures of coaching with Learning Institute of Finland!

The purpose of this national paper is to tell about the topical issues and events. The articles deal with topics from national boards perspective, considering the functions of individual chambers. It will bring out the impressive campaigns, which are JC-action at its best.
With the help of national magazine the JCI Meriitti, we take care of our partners and improve the image of our organization. With this publication we want to tell how the JCI can provide different kind of opportunities as a developer and trainer. The chamber projects and the experiences of members as a person are important themes of this paper.
In addition we have functional websites. There you can find the material bank and wide photo-files, which are in free use for every member. The solid graphical layouts we keep up with exact instructions. We also send 'eMeriitti´, an email-magazine twice a month to all members and senators.
Communication in national level is responsibility of regional information officers with Team Communication. The regional information officers (RIO) take care also the regional informing and publish the region magazines. 11. INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS WITHIN JCI FINLAND
'Bringing Finland to the world and the world to Finland´, is the Finnish International Affairs Project in a nutshell. The core of the project is the so called Team Finlandia, initially founded in 1997 to promote the JCI World President to be, Mr Petri Niskanen. The idea of a special international affairs team turned out to be so successful that it became a permanent resource within Junior Chamber Finland.
The first part 'Bringing Finland to the world´, involves two basic elements; Promoting and marketing international conferences to the Finnish Jaycees and coordinating travel itineraries for the Finnish delegation (usually 150 people or more).
In 'Bringing the world to Finland´, we focus mainly on encouraging twinning relations, both old and new. Receiving international quests and lecturers and making sure that as many Finnish 'Jaycees´ and chambers as possible benefit directly from these visits is another important part of the project.
